Theatre as Education
Storytelling opens minds and hearts to new ideas and ways of being.
Much of my writing focuses around mental health and public health concerns. I have written sketch comedy, stand-up comedy, and monologues for Artreach, inc. on the topic of mental illness, recovery, problem gambling, and healthcare inequity.
Independent playwrighting projects include Gun Training for Teachers, a full length play exploring gun violence in American schools through the eyes of public school teachers, and King of Hearts, a short play in which a college student navigates her first day is a psychiatric unit.

Theatre as Play
I take the art of being silly very seriously.
I love to find the silliness within the sadness.
Life is unpredictable and that can make for some pretty fantastic comedy.
